Wat Niwet Thammaprawat Rajaworaviharn

Wat Niwet Thammaprawat

Europeans will almost feel at home when visiting Wat Niwet in Bang Pa In. King Rama V. had this temple built in western style and it resembles a gothic Christian church, with stainded glass windows. Also the Buddha image in the altar was created in western style and was created by Prince Pradit Worakarn. It is called Phra Buddha Naruemol Thammophas and is covered with gold. The temple is located on a small island and can be reached only by a small hand-operated cable cabin.
