Wat Ko Kaeo

Wat Ko Kaeo

Wat Ko Kaeo or Gor Gaew is located just down the street from Wat Kluay also along the bank of the Pa Sak river. What we see today is actually two temples combined because Wat Prasart was included into Wat Ko Kaeo over time. Most people come to the temple to pay their respect to a statue of King Taksin the Great. The temple has beautiful wooden kutis (the living quarters of the monks) which are built on stilts and form a typical Ayutthaya-style building.
