The Ancient City of Kamphaeng Phet and Nakhon Chum Wat Thepmolee
Surprisingly, there is no sign anywhere which would indicate the way to Wat Thepmolee. We considered it an important temple and were searching for it for a while. Even though this is a temple which is still in use, it dates back to the same time as the Historical Park. There is no real temple structure here, just the statue of Phra Thepmolee or Luang Phor Mo, which is covered by a roof. The temple was neglected for a long time in the past and fell apart until it was repaired. From the original U-thong-style but early Ayutthaya-period Buddha image only the back and the head survived.
