Wat Don Kaeo

An absolute highlight of our trip and the 226km stretch from Mae Sot to Mae Sariang along the Burmese border was Wat Don Kaeo. It houses a gorgeous Phra Buddha Roob Hin On image made of marble. 3 images were initially crafted in Burma of which one is now in Pakistan, one in India and one here in Mae Ramat, Tak.  A quiet temple that is worth a special trip, which we undertook again in 2007.
