Wat Suan Dok
Wat Suan Dok features a royal cemetery for the remains of the Chiang Mai royal family. The attractive preaching hall is huge and contains two Buddha images back-to-back, one standing and one sitting. In the Phra Ubosot is the Lanna- and Sukhothai-style image of Phra Chao Kao Tue, another ancient image of Chiang Mai. It was first installed in a separate temple, called Wat Kao Tue, which was later combined with Wat Suan Dok. Hence this Ubosot is a bit to the back of the huge temple compound.
