Wat Chai Phrakiat
Wat Chai Phrakiat is located on the road with connects Wat Phra Sing and the Tha Pae Gate. We visited it during Songkran and especially liked the traditional merit making here at this temple - building mounds of sand with prayer flags outside the temple building. The main hall contains a beautiful Buddha image named Chai Phra Kiat. An image with Burmese, Mon and Thai trilingual inscriptions indicating the excellent artistic climate of the so-called "Golden Age of Lanna". (the number 15 in the picture refers to it's number during the Songkran procession).
