Wat Tha Sung
Wat Tha Sung, also called Wat Chantaram is located to the south of the city of Uthaithani. Two older structures are located on one side of the temple grounds and several newer buildings had been built on the other side. The two old chapels are beautifully decorated inside. On the lap of the main Buddha image is a stack of new robes for the monks, which is one way in this temple to make merit. Opposite the statue is an image of Phra Buddha Chinnarat, which is (I think) gilded or painted onto the wall. The Ubosot of the temple also features a beautiful interior with fine mural paintings. On the temple grounds are also a larger structure housing a replica statue of Phra Buddha Chinnarat and a footprint in another building.
