Wat Samien Nari

Wat
Samien Nari is a beautiful temple in
Bangkok
's Chatuchak district. A real eye catcher is the large Ubosot with standing
Buddha images in the front and the back and large elephant statues in the front
of the building. Behind the Ubosot is the Viharn with a Sanchrachai Buddha image
amongst three other images. This is the building most worshippers visit. We
particularly liked the style of mural paintings in the Viharn. The temple also
contains a relic of the Buddha from Sri Lanka
which is located to the side of the Ubosot in a large tent-like structure.
Collages of pictures inform about the ceremonies held to commemorate bringing
the relics to the temple.
