Wat Phra That Chom Sin

Wat Phra That Chom Sin

On top of a hill with a great view onto the valleys and villages below sits Wat Phra That Chom Sin. Inside the large Lanna-style Ubosot sits a huge crowned Buddha image in meditation pose. An image we had not seen so far. The whole inside of the Ubosot was filled with long ceremonial strings which connected back with the main Buddha image. Beautiful patterns were woven to form an entrance and a special space for religious ceremonies. The Phra That Chedi is located to the side of the new Ubosot but behind the old wooden Ubosot which still contained the large old Buddha images.
