Wat Rai Daeng Thong
Certainly one of the most interesting temples we had visited in almost 1000 temples, Wat Rai Daeng Thong was the second temple in Nakhon Pathom we visited for it's highly revered monks and amulets. Without wanting to judge it, the huge statue of the monk Luang Phor Liew riding on an even bigger turtle was something we had never seen before. The main activity in the temple here also seemed to be the sale of amulets and statues. This was the first temple we came across which actually had a booklet about the various images for sale. Over all the excitement about the turtle-amulets we completely forgot to visit the Phra Ubosot in the temple.
