Wat Suttharam

Tourists would normally not come to this hidden temple in Bangkok's Khlong Sarn district. I only heard about it from a friend who is a monk in the area. Wat Suttharam is one of the historic temples which serves the local community in Khlong Sarn. It was built in 1868 and enshrines a locally revered Buddha image Luang Phor Chirn. Outside are wooden statues of other, mostly Chinese deities. As a local temple it is open to the people who come to pray and make merit.
